This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines how Smartin Sarees handles order cancellations, returns, exchanges, and refunds.
By placing an order on our website, you agree to be bound by this policy. This policy should be read along with our Shipping Policy and Terms and Conditions.
2. Order Cancellation
You may request cancellation of your order only before it is shipped. Once the order is processed or dispatched, cancellation is not possible.
To cancel your order, please contact us immediately with your order number. We will review and confirm the cancellation. Refunds for cancelled orders (before dispatch) are usually processed within 5–7 business days.
3. Returns & Exchanges Eligibility
Return Eligibility
Only items with clear manufacturing defects are eligible for return or exchange.
Any issues must be reported within 3 days of receiving your order.
A 360-degree unboxing video, taken at the time of opening the parcel, is required for your claim to be considered.
How to Return
If your return request is approved by our team, the product must be sent to our store in udaipur Rajasthan.
Return shipping charges will be borne by the customer.
Once we receive the item and verify its condition, an exchange or store credit will be processed.
Return Conditions
We do not accept returns if you simply change your mind or don’t like the product.
Minor color differences due to lighting, photography, or screen display will not qualify for returns.
Our Bandhani and Gotapatti products are crafted by hand, so slight variations or irregularities such as thread pulls or dye marks are part of their uniqueness and are not considered defects.
We accept returns or exchanges only in the following cases:
- Product is damaged or defective
- Wrong item or size delivered
- Significant variation from the description/image shown on the website
Conditions for Return/Exchange:
- The item must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition with all tags, packaging, and accessories intact.
- Return/exchange request must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.
- Clear photos or videos of the product and packaging must be provided.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Customized or personalized products
- Used, worn, washed, or altered products
- Products without original tags and packaging
- Sale / Discounted items (unless damaged or defective)
- Items marked as “Non-Returnable” on the product page
Note: For hygiene reasons, intimate wear / inner garments are generally non-returnable.
5. Return / Exchange Process
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and reason.
- Send clear photos/videos of the issue.
- Once approved, we will provide a return shipping address and instructions.
- Ship the item back at your cost (unless it is our mistake).
- Items sent back without prior approval may not be accepted.
- A 360-degree unboxing video, taken at the time of opening the parcel, is required for your claim to be considered.
We inspect all returned products upon receipt. Approved requests will be processed within 2–3 business days after inspection.
6. Refunds
If a return is approved:
- Refund will be issued to the original payment method.
- Processing time: 7–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
- The time for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank / payment gateway (Razorpay).
Non-Refundable Charges:
Shipping charges, COD handling fees, and convenience fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong/defective item).
7. Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to product availability in the requested size/color. If the desired item is not available, we may offer:
- A full refund, or
- Store credit, or
- An alternative similar product
8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
- Provide clear supporting photos/videos
- Do not use/wear the product
We will arrange a replacement (if available) or full refund (including original shipping charges) at no extra cost to you.
9. Return Shipping Cost
- Our Mistake (wrong/defective/damaged item): We will reimburse the return shipping cost or arrange pickup.
- Customer Choice (change of mind, size issue, etc.): Customer bears the return shipping charges.
10. Customer Responsibilities
- Carefully inspect the parcel at the time of delivery.
- Report any issues immediately (within 48 hours).
- Pack returned items securely to avoid damage during transit.
Failure to report issues within the stipulated time may result in denial of return/refund requests.
11. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund within the expected time:
- Check your bank/credit card statement again.
- Contact your bank or payment provider.
- Then reach out to us for assistance.
